My Forex Journey: Why Quitting Was Never an Option
My Forex Journey: Why Quitting Was Never an Option
Four years ago, I began my forex trading journey while working as a seafarer. Spending 7 months at sea and 4 to 5 months at home with my family, I used every spare moment to learn and grow. At sea, I spent my free time watching success stories of traders, and at home, I continued trading while enjoying time with my loved ones.
When I’m on vacation, I also enjoy simple joys like gardening, repairing defects, and cooking. These little hobbies keep me balanced and remind me why I started this journey in the first place: for freedom and family.
Early Struggles
Like many beginners, I started by copying trades and following signals. I even jumped into other people’s EAs, hoping for easy profits, but I ended up losing.
My biggest enemy wasn’t the market — it was myself. I closed winning trades too early, and I held on to losing trades for too long.
Another hard lesson was about equity. I discovered that small accounts don’t stand a chance with algorithmic trading. To let an EA work properly, bigger volume or the use of cent account is much more reliable.
My Turning Point
I refused to quit. Instead, I learned to respect the market, develop patience, and follow trends. My strategy started to combine tools like:
Market change of character (understanding when trends shift)
Stochastic indicator confluence (spotting momentum)
RSI confirmation (avoiding overbought/oversold traps)
This confluence gave me the discipline I was missing. Slowly, I gained consistency.
A New Milestone
After years of testing and correcting my mistakes, I reached a new milestone: publishing my first profitable Algorithm EA — Master Forex Expert V1.2.

It’s more than just code. It’s a reflection of all the discipline, patience, and lessons learned along the way.
The Lesson
If there’s one message I want to share, it’s this: If you’ve already started something, quitting is not an option.
Mistakes are part of the process. Failures are lessons. And success comes only to those who persist.
Today, I continue to learn, grow, and share my journey. Whether I’m at sea, at home trading, cooking, or gardening, I know this path is worth it.
If you’re on the same journey, remember: “don’t stop. Keep learning. Keep moving. Your breakthrough will come.”
